The laser-sintering technology

Selective laser sintering (SLS), also called layer technology, is an additive manufacturing technique that uses a CO2-laser as the power source to sinter powdered material. The material is built up in thin layers and the powdered material is spread evenly across the build chamber by an automated roller.The data navegates the laser across the cross section of the construction somponent. Layer after layer the product reaches a thickness of 0,15 mm in a available space of 300x300x500 mm. After that there is built another layer that leads to a local hardening of the material. Once the 3D print process is completed, the model and supporting material is left to cool.
